Hello treasured lovers of delightful characters and compelling tales, I’m Carmer Hook.
My journey began at the bottom of New Zealand where a regular artic blast or two compels you indoors to invent characters that can transcend the gloomy grey days.
My characters tend to land in my imagination while I’m doing other things - walking on the beach, baking, cooking or pottering somewhere. Even in sleep they’ll wake me up and insist - write me now!
I love the process of hatching them out and hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
